ACCELERATED READER

ACCELERATED READER
This is a scheme that is aimed at improving student’s levels of literacy. It engages children with reading and ensures students are reading at the appropriate levels. It also develops understanding of texts. The scheme involves all Years 7 8 and 9. In year 10 and 11 students continue with reading in lessons but the reading is more focused around GCSE work. It has become noticeable over recent months that are a number of students are not bringing in reading books on a daily basis and we would be grateful for parent/carer support in ensuring that this situation changes. Thank you for your support

Year 11 PE and Art exams this week

Well done to all those GCSE PE students who completed the practical part of their exams this week.  Well done also to the Art students who have now completed their practical exams this week too, and good luck to all students for the next set of written exams.
