Comic Relief day!

Today Townsend have been celebrating Comic Relief and raising money for this great cause.  Sixth form students have been hosting activities for younger students throughout the week, including a Townsend Talent show, Bushtucker trial and film screenings.  There has also been a bake sale as well as non uniform, with all of the money raised being donated next week.

Earlier in the month, Year 10 were off timetable for the day to attend a careers fair in our Discovery Centre.  Numerous speakers from different vocations attended the event, setting up a stall with promotional material, to chat about their experiences and what is involved within their particular field.  The talks were extremely insightful to the students, with lots of valuable information shared.  A big thank you to all of our speakers, and to all of year 10 who listened intently throughout the day, even with a lot of information being processed in one go!

Tenner Challenge is complete!

After four exciting weeks the Tenner challenge is now finished.  All money borrowed will be repaid on Monday.  I will update you next week on how well the businesses did!  Mrs Maguire
